Welcome to Monday.
If you're reading this on Monday morning, you're standing at the beginning of a full week.
Before you continue with your work, pause a moment to imagine ahead.
What do you want to have completed by Friday afternoon? For example, is there a report waiting to be finished? Do you have a deadline to meet? Are there ways that you could invest your time to prepare for the next challenge?
How do you want to feel at the end of the week? That is, do you want to feel proud of what you accomplished? Do you want to feel satisfaction knowing that you spent every moment well? Do you want to feel that you earned a victory?
What do you want to tell people five days from now? For example, do you want to be able to tell your boss that you completed the project early? Do you want to be able to talk about having overcome obstacles? Do you want to be able to show others how you accomplished something extraordinary?
Notice that these are forward thinking questions.
Once you answer them, then you can plan actions that will give you the results that you want. You can also set goals for critical task milestone through the week to guide and measure your progress.
Of course, this approach to planning works within any timeframe. You can use this for any period starting on any day of the week. You can also use this for longer periods, such as for a month, for year, or for decade.
Key Point: Every plan begins with a vision.
Much success,
